A Bowquet for Youu

Artist Statement

A Bowquet for Youu is a love story as told from the perspective of pigeons. The hand embroidered, wired bow, as the story’s canvas, acts as a metaphor for their romantic bond. Silk shading, stumpwork and various hand stitched techniques have been used.

Zoe Childs is a printed textiles and embroidery artist based in Kent. Zoe’s design ethos involves rigorous research, a desire to challenge preconceived ideas and to build emotive narratives in each piece of work.
