Artist Statement

Haf Weighton is a Welsh speaking textile artist. Her work focuses on interpretations of architecture
through the medium of paint, print and stitch.

Recognised internationally for her textiles, she has had work exhibited at Saatchi Gallery, London,
Knitting and Stitching show London, Rome art week, and as part of ‘One red line’ in Australia; and
‘Without borders’ in Japan; In 2024 Haf’s work was selected for Y Lle Celf at the National
Eisteddfod for Wales.

She has received numerous major public commissions and specialises in art in health.

Currently a recipient of the prestigious Create Grant from Arts Council of Wales. Haf is working
towards an exhibition at Ruthin Craft Centre in 2026.

Haf is a Member of the Society for Designer Craftsmen and Society for Embroidered Work.
