Artist Statement

David Morrish’s digital embroidery art blends traditional textile techniques with contemporary digital design, creating vivid, layered compositions that explore themes of identity, technology, and nature. Each piece is created with high-density polyester thread on a black cotton base, employing digital embroidery techniques to achieve intricate detail and vivid color contrast. The work combines layers of digitally designed patterns, stitched with precision to mimic shading and texture, giving depth to both organic and geometric elements.
