Artist Statement

Valentina Tikhonova is an artist/designer who learnt traditional embroidery when she was a child from her great-grandmother in a rural Ukraine village. Even when she moved to the UK, Valentina didn’t stop learning and developing her designs.

During 2010 – 2018 she exhibited her artworks with WBNH (West Berkshire North Hampshire) Open Studious. Valentina’s collection ‘Hearts’ represents a reflection on cultures, travel, personal experience, meeting new people, seeing new countries.

Artwork Frozen Heart represents hope and positivity we all have in our souls. They are always there, even if it is challenging to ‘unfreeze’ them. We just need to look inside, and use love we have.

Her artworks are professionally framed using premium anti-reflective ‘invisible’ glass and bespoke frames.

Delivery fee is not included in the price of the artwork. It can be delivered by Valentina personally within 200 miles area from Newbury (UK mainland area only). If postal/courier delivery is preferred, than delivery fee and transport insurance to be paid by a purchaser. In case of the international delivery: transport, insurance, local customs fees and duties to be paid by a purchaser.
