Helios

Artist Statement

Ruth is an experienced embroiderer and multi-disciplinary textile artist based in North East England, with many years’ experience in designing and creating textile art. Embroidery has always been her first love, and she enjoys exploring the limits of traditional needlepainting techniques, creating painterly artworks entirely in stitch.

Helios is worked in stranded cotton on linen, using long and short stitch and satin stitch.
