Artist Statement

Lucy is an artist working in stitch.

Her inspiration is wild, isolated spaces. She strives to capture this heady isolation in her work. An ongoing ‘project’ of hers is the sky and the drama of the clouds that are forever changing, she continues to be fascinated by that. These places arouse different feelings: comforting, unsettling, eerie, lonely, peaceful, they can bring solace and rest, inspiration, or a decision to be made. She has woven these feelings into her landscapes. 

Lucy’s landscapes are completely free – style and hand stitched. She enjoys the freedom of working this way as she can really build into the image and layer up colour and texture, approaching each piece like painting, instead, using thread.

Her prices are inclusive of U.K. postage and packaging. For Europe Postage and packaging will be £30.00. For the rest of the world, it will be £50.00.
