Artist Statement

Emma Gatehouse is an artist based in Somerset. Having studied Art & Craft at Coventry University, Emma went on to work in Natural History programme making for several years, before returning to making her art and focussing on her craft specialism in textiles. Emma creates detailed embroidery pieces. Her work is an observation of the natural world around her that she explores on long walks and cycles. Emma likes the thought that her art work can bring a taste of the natural world to any home.
