Artist Statement

Journey before Destination encapsulates the idea that the experiences we gather along the way shape our lives more than the end goal themselves. Cloud Juno International Stitch Club is a group of stitchers from around the world who meet online, led by Chrissie Juno Mann. The golden pathway highlights the growing friendships that travel seamlessly across countries whilst the plants and insects represent the interconnectivity of all things. In life it’s not just about where we end up, but how we got there and the friendships and learning we have gained along the way. Embracing the journey encourages mindfulness, reminding us to savour the present, as the journey itself is a valuable destination worth celebrating.
