Artist Statement
Sylvia is a painter and textile artist.
She has exhibited at the Tokamachi Quilt Festival, Japan 2015 and the European Textile Network exhibition, in Haslach, Austria in 2019.
She is a member of Art Textiles: Made in Britain exhibiting with them at The Festival of Quilts and at galleries around the UK. In January 2020 the group exhibited at The Tokyo International Quilt Festival.
Mr Toad was created as a tribute to her father who’s favourite book was Wind in the Willows. He even named the family home Toad Hall and would wear a waistcoat and bow tie.
In May/June 2026 Sylvia will be guest artist at the Sunbury Embroidery Gallery.
