Artist Statement

Jatz is a mixed media artist based in West Wales, specialising in free form Irish and Cornely machine embroidery. Working with a variety of materials often discarded as waste, such as wool blanket scraps, tea bags, and packing materials, Jatz creates intricate wall art and wearable pieces that celebrate zero waste.

My Green Fingered Man draws inspiration from both her husband, a landscape gardener, and the plants and wildlife that live and grow in their wilding garden Combining a mix of yarns along with transfer printing and dyes, Jatz’s work aims to reflect a deep connection to nature and a commitment to producing sustainable art.
