Artist Statement

Alison Holt graduated from Goldsmiths College in 1979. She has exhibited her embroideries and taught in the UK and internationally throughout her career. 

Inspired by the detail in nature, in particular the patterns, rhythms and rich textures, she works with freemotion machine embroidery on hand painted silk. A fine artist who draws with textured stitches to engage the viewer and share the experience.  

She aims to make a connection with people through her work, to transport them to a place or a moment in time and to feel the atmosphere in each piece. 

The price does not include a shipping/delivery fee and she encourages people who purchase work to collect it at the end of the exhibition.
