Artist Statement

Freya Alice Embroidery is an embroidery artist who takes inspiration from the natural world and puts an artistic, contemporary spin on it. Freya Alice is a First Class Degree graduate from the Royal School of Needlework and currently a hand embroidery tutor at Hand & Lock. Both her pieces, Panellus and Turkey Tail are her take on mushrooms through a macro lens, focusing on the shapes and line details that these gorgeous fungi have, enhancing their colours and structures.
