Pegasus

Artist Statement

Pegasus, the majestic ancient Greek mythical winged white horse was the son of Medusa and Poseidon. He created sacred springs of water wherever his hooves hit the ground. In time Zeus made Pegasus immortal by giving him a place in the stars. To this day in the night sky, you can see a large constellation of stars named Pegasus. Angela has chosen to depict Pegasus in Whitework technique using pulled and drawn methods in his wings to show the transparency of them while he flew high in the sky. His head and shoulders have satin stitch with surface stitching.
