Artist Statement

Natalie Tyler is an embroidery artist originally from the Northwest of England but now living in Shinfield in-between Reading and Wokingham. She has a BA Hons in Textile Design from CSM and an MA in Textile Futures also from Central Saint Martins. When she left University she freelanced in print design for fashion selling to high street and designer brands as well as being a visiting lecturer for Textile Design at a number of Universities.

Her embroidery is informed by her career as a textile designer so features lots of print, colour, pattern and texture, her piece Self-portrait highlights this.
