Artist Statement

Suzy is a textile design student studying a Masters degree at Nottingham Trent University.  Specialising in embroidery she is inspired by the forms and textures of the natural world and enjoys an illustrative approach adding extra life to her original drawings through stitch.

Stickleback Attack stems from nostalgic memories of a childhood spent playing in the local stream, building dams and catching small watery critters.
