Stitch Heritage

Artist Statement

Janice joined the Grange in 1981 when she was 19. During the time when the Grange was the school of stitchery and lace she had lived on site in our shared living accommodation, but has since then moved off site to Bookham village.

Janice created Stitch Heritage because she wanted to showcase the traditional needlework skills that she had learnt when she joined the Grange. Ever evolving, Janice’s work showcases these skills with a contemporary feel. She hopes to keep the Grange’s heritage alive with this work.
