Artist Statement

Rachel Doyle trained as an embroiderer at the Royal School of Needlework. She now teaches at the school and stitches in its embroidery studio, where she works on new commissions, restoration and conservation, and has embroidered many high profile projects. She also accepts commissions, teaches private groups and has published several books on embroidery. Designing and embroidering new works using stumpwork techniques and any style of embroidery that is small and intricate is always her favourite.
