Untethered

Artist Statement

Untethered – this work started as a figurative study in flowers & foliage.  Bit changed direction with the departure of the Artist’s eldest child to go travelling, having had a recent six week stay in hospital with an unresolved medical condition. The original threads of Untethered were cut and the ends re-sewn back onto the fabric.

The finished work attempts to float & move before your eyes with no immediate focal point.
