Artist Statement

Manoela Grigorova is an emerging, intuitive artist exploring bold colours and contrasting textures through working with mixed media and embroidery.  Originally from Bulgaria, she now resides in London, UK.

Manoela aims to modernise the perception of embroidery as just ‘women’s crafts’ and to bring it forth into the art world. She uses inspiration from the natural world and movements such as Surrealism, Pointillism and Abstract Expressionism to create wondrous textures and embellished abstract worlds that are colourful, playful and deliciously touch-worthy.

Viola Two is part of an explorative and meditative series of abstract flower embroideries to help deal with current events and all of the emotions around them. She aims to bring joy to the viewer and create immersive escapism.

Artwork comes framed however delivery charges are not included. Please speak to artist to arrange delivery or possible collection in person.
